Wander No More For The Best Cold Brew

Being a coffee lover for years now, I feel like I’ve tried everything from store-bought cold brew, to coffee beans, to Keurig cups, and of course, my local coffee shop. I love stopping for a coffee, but sometimes it is such a chore and cuts out 30 minutes of my day (and can be way more $$$ money than necessary).

I’ve been looking for ways to switch up my coffee routine because it is a necessity for me in order to have a productive morning (and to not have a pounding headache by 3pm). I have to say my excitement to try Wandering Bear came mostly from the branding. They market their company using “bear slang” and it is ADORABLE. Of course I was excited to try the products, but their website feels so homey and like a little cabin in the woods.

WHO IS WANDERING BEAR?

Founders, Matt and Ben, claim that they lived off caffeine during their time in grad school. What started out as a friendly competition over who could create the best cold brew, turned into the creation of Wandering Bear in 2014. Since then they have been experimenting and critiquing different ways to enjoy coffee! Wandering Bear is now based out of New York City, New York.

WHAT’S SO GREAT?
There were definitely several things that stood out to me about Wandering Bear in comparison to its competitors in the market. Wandering Bear was the first company to create boxed cold brew (like a box of wine, but better). Wandering Bear uses packaging that is 100% recyclable and claims that their goal is to not only produce a strong product, but to keep Mother Nature just as strong. All of their products are Keto, Paleo, and vegan-friendly. Wandering Bear’s 100% organic coffee comes straight from Peru, Mexico, and Nicaragua (so cool!).

MY THOUGHTS ON THE COLD BREW BOXES:
The selling point for me is the fact that Wandering Bear uses extra coffee in order to create an extra strong cold brew. This is true in all of their products and is perfect for those of us who need an extra boost. You may be wondering how it tastes with all the extra coffee, and surprisingly, it is very smooth and not overpowering! I was also skeptical about the boxed coffee in fear that it would taste artificial or watered down. Luckily it is neither of those things, and it tastes as if I just brewed it from fresh coffee beans myself. There are three flavors available for the boxed cold brews: straight black, hazelnut, and vanilla.

HOW I MAKE MY COLD BREW:

The best part of the cold brew is obviously that it’s on tap. It makes it so easy! All I do is pour it over some ice. Then if I’m feeling spontaneous, I will add some stevia and froth some creamer in a separate cup and pour it over. I also love adding cinnamon on top of the frothed creamer. Although I’m “vanilla” and a little boring, I feel like there are so many ways to spice this cold brew up. I feel like I have my own personal coffee shop in my kitchen!

WHAT I LOVE ABOUT WANDERING BEAR:

  • I’m a sucker for brands that consider our environment when producing their products. I love that Wandering Bear uses 100% recyclable packaging.

  • I love the kick of energy I get from my cold brew, without all the jitters and “coffee anxiety”.

  • I thought the cold brew box may overtake my fridge but it actually fit perfectly!

  • I love how reasonably priced Wandering Bear products are, given their amazing quality. One box = 16 cups of coffee.

Wandering Bear is welcoming to so many dietary restrictions such as veganism, Keto and Paleo diet, and is also 100% organic.
