How I Cut Carbs Without Sacrificing Flavor

This year, one of my New Year’s Resolutions was to eat a healthier diet and eliminate some things that weren’t serving me and my body any purpose. I didn’t want to start anything crazy, but I wanted to choose healthier substitutions for things that I eat every day. When thinking of meals I eat often, I realized I ate some form of bread for almost every meal. Whether it be bagels for breakfast, a sandwich for lunch, or tacos for dinner, I was consuming so much bread, which means unnecessary carbohydrates. If you’re like me, you can’t imagine eating lettuce in place of a burger bun, so you can imagine the struggle I had trying to imagine meals without bread.

A friend had recommended Outer Aisle to me, which are low carb, gluten-free, and grain-free sandwich thins and pizza crusts. I was SO hesitant at first, because I felt like I couldn’t be tricked into eating something that isn’t bread. I know my bread and I thought that there was no way I would enjoy Outer Aisle, since they are essentially made from cauliflower.
